Sons of Garmadon | Red Crows |
The Red Crows were a criminal organization created from the remains of the Sons of Garmadon after the Oni's invasion. They were led by Lord Mogra.
History[]
After March of the Oni[]
At some point after the Liberation of Ninjago, with Harumi dead and Garmadon seemingly missing, the remnants of the Sons of Garmadon became a group of street thugs, aimlessly robbing banks, terrorizing local businesses, and bullying young children in Garmadon's name. Without a strong leader to rally behind however, they were easily defeated by the Ninja and sent to Kryptarium Prison. For a long time, the remnants of the SoG trained and prepared themselves, believing that one day their lord would come for them, but he never did. Following the Oni Invasion, the remnants of the SoG learned through the NGTV channel that Garmadon had allied himself with the Ninja to defeat the Oni, angering the remnants who felt betrayed, abandoned, and forgotten by their former leader. Months later, Mogra broke into Kryptarium and freed the remnants of the SoG, reforming them under his leadership as the Red Crows.
While serving Mogra, the Red Crows would at one point be employed by the elders of Two Moon Village, who sought their protection against the local Bears of Glimwillow Woods, who had become hostile to the villagers. The Red Crows however, quickly reworked the deal in their favor, forcing the villagers to supply them with immense quantities of their namesake Two Moon Tea while offering little, if any, protection at all.
Garmadon Issue 1[]
Ultra Violet surveyed the Two Moon Village from afar, discovering to her surprise that Garmadon, her former leader, had returned. Hastily, Ultra Violet returned to the headquarters of the Red Crows to inform Mogra of Garmadon's return. Intrigued and satisfied by Ultra Violet's denial of having any remaining loyalties to Garmadon, Mogra rallied up his forces, declaring that the Sons of Garmadon no longer existed, but the Red Crows shall fly forever, eliciting cheers from the gathered bikers.
Garmadon Issue 2[]
The next evening, Mogra and the Red Crows journeyed to Two Moon Village to deliver a message for Garmadon - specifically by razing the village to the ground.
Garmadon Issue 3[]
Throughout the night, the Red Crows continued their attack on Two Moon Village, setting homes ablaze and pillaging valuables. Killow, Francis, and another biker attempted to rob the home of Saeko, but were met with resistance from the villager, who knocked out Francis with a frying pan. Before Killow could retaliate against Saeko's daughter, Garmadon, who had been following the girl, entered the burning home and was surprised to see Killow, recognizing the big man from his days as a general in the now defunct Sons of Garmadon. While a fearful Killow attempted to converse with his former master, the other biker furiously told Garmadon that the Sons of Garmadon were gone, and that they serve Mogra now as the Red Crows. This revelation disappointed Garmadon, who asked Killow if such news were true, to which the latter nervously confirmed. In response, Garmadon hurled Killow and the other biker through the roof of Saeko's home before addressing the rest of the Red Crows in an effort to reclaim them as his followers. Although the Red Crows briefly followed Garmadon's orders, Mogra quickly reasserted his command over them before admitting to Garmadon he had specifically sought them out in order to use Garmadon's reputation and legacy for his own ends. The bikers would gather and watch as Mogra and Garmadon dueled one another, ultimately ending in Mogra's victory.
Garmadon Issue 4[]
Killow and Ultra Violet accompanied Mogra as he declared victory over Garmadon and that he had 'liberated' Two Moon Village from the fallen dark lord. Mogra stressed that from this point forward, Two Moon Village belonged to him and the Red Crows, intending to rename the village "New Mograton" and to establish it as the new headquarters of the Red Crows.
Sometime later, a patrol group of three bikers stumbled across Min and an injured Garmadon camping in the woods. At first, they mistook the pair as simple villagers, asking if they were unaware that Mogra had established a curfew. Upon closer inspection however, they realized that one of the "villagers" was actually Garmadon and that Mogra would reward them handsomely for bringing Garmadon to him. When Min attempted to intervene, the bikers laughed off her warning, with one adding that his favorite thing to do was bullying children. Before the bikers could do anything further, however, they were attacked by the Two Moon Village Commandos and were sent fleeing back to Two Moon Village, swearing to report this incident to Mogra.
Garmadon Issue 5[]
In the morning hours sometime after Mogra's conquest of Two Moon Village, a squadron of bikers led by Killow attacked and successfully drove out the Bears of Glimwillow Woods, claiming the forest as the Red Crows' first step in conquering Ninjago.
Later, as Killow, Ultra Violet, and Mogra were planning the next steps of their conquest, their planning would be interrupted by several bikers who told the group that they had to see what was going on outside the village. After peeking above one of the village walls, Mogra found to his surprise, Garmadon, leading a massive army of bears. In the battle that followed, the Red Crows fought hard against the combined forces of Garmadon, the Two Moon Villagers, and the Bears of Glimwillow Woods, but ultimately realized the battle was lost, with Ultra Violet calling for a retreat. However, thanks to Garmadon's meddling, Mogra became supercharged on Two Moon Tea and prepared to dive bomb into the village to take everyone with him, including his own subordinates. Fortunately, Garmadon managed to save the day, unleashing his Oni Form and seemingly disintegrating Mogra with a blast of Destruction. Following the battle, the defeated Red Crows were forced to repair the damages inflicted upon the village, under the threat of having to answer to the Bears of Glimwillow Woods if they refused. Afterwards, with their leader gone, the Red Crows disbanded entirely, the members and generals going their separate ways as independent criminals.
