When the ninja and Okino were at the Forest of Discontent, Ritchie attacks Lloyd, and Richie and another Whack Rat attack the others. However, when Ritchie was tied up, Richie and the other Whack Rat escaped.
When Ritchie was questioned by Lloyd, he replies that he was ordered by Unagami to attack the ninja. Moments later, Ritchie tells Lloyd that he can help the ninja by showing them a shortcut, a glitch.
After Ritchie was freed and lured the ninja to a glitch, the Red Visors ambushed the ninja and attacked them while Ritchie escape.

Trivia[]
- In the sets, he is named after Peter Hausner, one of Ninjago's directors.[1][2]
- Like all the other racers in "The Meaning of Victory", he had his name wrong in Ninjargon. In this case, Ritchie's name was Ratsq instead.
- He is called Hausner in the sets, but is referred to as Ritchie in the credits and Richie in the synopses. Richie is what another member of the Whack Rats is called in the sets, likely meaning that either the show or the sets mixed up their names.
- Along with Richie, the form of Ritchie is reused many times for generic members of the Whack Rats in Prime Empire and The Keytana Quest.
- He looks similar to some of the generic Whack Rats in the show, with Ritchie having a different ponytail, purple hands, and orange pants while the generic Whack Rats having a mohawk, orange hands, and purple pants.
- He appears in every set that includes the Yellow Key-Tana except 71712 Empire Temple of Madness.
