The sand warriors are an army of warriors in the Pyramid of the Sphinx.

The Maze of the Sphinx (flashback)[]
Wu and Garmadon encountered the Sand warriors as their second challenge upon entering the maze within the Pyramid of the Sphinx. Although Garmadon initially dismissed the warriors as barely a threat, he soon discovered, painfully, that their bodies were as hard as stone. However, by working together alongside his brother, the two were able to discover the Sand warriors' weakness and made short work of them, continuing afterwards through the maze.
