Shatterspin is a Ninjago: Dragons Rising - Season 2 comic series that had its first issue released on July 24, 2024. It was intended to have five issues, but the third, fourth and fifth issues were cancelled due to the distributor going bankrupt. The collected edition which includes all five issues in one book was not cancelled as it has a different distributor.

- Garmadon retains his young design seen in the mini-movies through Season 7, though his hair more closely resembles Lloyd's from the movie and Season 8 onward.
- The comic series has had each one of its issues face multiple delays.
- Issue 1 was delayed 2 times and in total 63 days.
- Issue 2 was delayed 8 times and in total 105 days.
- Issue 3 was delayed 10 times and in total 203 days. In the end, it was cancelled.
- Issue 4 was delayed 9 times and in total 140 days. In the end, it was cancelled.
- Issue 5 was delayed 4 times and in total 77 days. In the end, it was cancelled.
- Tri Vuong had stated he did not know the official reasons for the delay, but it is possible that it was because of how long they took to produce.[5]
