Skeleton Army Ambush is a comic from the LEGO Club Magazine January Issue of 2011.
Plot[]
Cole is practicing archery when the visage of Sensei Wu appears on the target and speaks to him, warning him of an upcoming Skulkin attack on the Bamboo Forest where Kai is guarding the Scythe of Quakes. In the Bamboo Forest, a Skulkin takes hold of the scythe but Kai uses his Spinjitzu to fend him of. Despite knocking the skeleton out, a horde of other Skulkin encroach upon Kai. Suddenly, Cole appears to his rescue using Spinjitzu and the pair perform a double Spinjitzu attack to defeat all the Skulkin. While Kai thinks the skeleton remains are useless, Cole thinks otherwise, setting up several disembodied Skulkin legs as bowling pins as bowls a Skulkin head towards them.

- This comic is based off sets 2258 Ninja Ambush and 2516 Ninja Training Outpost and serves to promote them.
- This comic seems to have been written before many show details were available to the comic writers, causing a few inconsistencies with the show and future comics:
- Wu seems to have the ability to project his face onto objects far away to contact Cole.
- Wu refers to the Cole and Kai as "Ninja Cole" and "Ninja Kai".
- The Golden Weapons are referred to as the golden treasures.
- Spinjitzu appears not as it is seen in the show and future comics, but rather as the Spinners from the sets.
