“Now, listen, fellas, don't you go down in the first few seconds. Watch out for Slab's breath. It can bury you. If you know what I mean. Hey, and if Slab ever gets you cornered, best not fight it. Just play dead. He'll get bored eventually.” |

History
Hunted
Iron & Stone
He appears as part of the Dragon Hunter's entertainment, where he is put in The Pit with a prisoner, and he is expected to kill them. Zane, Kai, and Jay are thrown into the Pit, and Slab is put to fight them.
He is shown to chase them around the Pit for some time until Cole and Wu throw the ninja a chain to subdue him.
While on the ground, Slab is about to blast Jay with his Earth breath when Zane uses his Elemental Power of Ice to freeze Slab's head. This display causes the Hunters and Iron Baron to realize the ninja are Elemental Masters, not Oni as believed.
Radio Free Ninjago
Slab's frozen body can be seen as Kai, Jay, and Zane battle the Dragon Hunters, though he doesn't partake in the fight.
How to Build a Dragon
Slab is released from the Dead's End by Kai, along with the Wind Dragon and an unknown Fire Dragon, after Firstbourne attacks and they escape to their mother.
Lessons for a Master
After Wu tames the Firstbourne, the dragon summons Slab in order for Cole to get back to Ninjago.
Green Destiny
Slab follows its fellow dragons through a portal that forms in the skies of Ninjago. It helps Cole save his friends from the Sons of Garmadon. Cole later flies on the dragon to evacuate the citizens and destroy the Colossus.
In the end, Slab and the other dragons return to their realm.
Abilities
In "Iron & Stone," Slab has the ability to manipulate and breathe Earth and blast sand from his mouth. He possesses supernatural strength and durability. He can also sense the presence of an Oni (this may not be a unique power, but instead a shared power of dragons as a whole). Despite these abilities, he has weaknesses; he is slow and lumbering, and cannot fly at fast speeds (Unlike the Wind Dragon).

Trivia
- In the form they appear in the set, Slab is smaller than Stormbringer. In the TV show, Slab is larger or may possibly be the same size as Stormbringer.
- In "Lessons for a Master," at Firstbourne's nest, multiple dragons that look like him can be seen. This could be either an error or just other Earth Dragons.
- Slab is the only season 9 Dragon to not have its own set
