Official descriptions[]
Scholastic[]
Protect this book from dark forces. If it falls into the wrong hands, the knowledge contained within could put all of time and space in danger.
LEGO® Ninjago: Book of Spinjitzu contains Master Wu's wise lessons in the wonders of Ninjago, giving readers the power to master Spinjitzu and unlock the secrets of this mysterious philosophy. Master Wu has recorded the lessons his father, the First Spinjitzu Master, taught him as a boy and has added to them throughout his life.
Now, Master Wu is sharing all that he has learnt, in the hope that those with potential will become Ninjago's great champions and continue to practice the art of Spinjitzu.
Extended: From Master Wu:
My father, the First Spinjitzu Master, taught me the ways of Spinjitzu and the wonders of Ninjago. Since I was a boy I have recorded these lessons so that I may teach others. Parts of this book are from journals I kept as a child and young man (yes, I was young once!) and others have been written in as I have learned them. I have also commented on the pages whilst reading this book later on in life . . . To be in possession of The Book of Spinjitzu is to have great responsibility. The information it contains is to be used wisely, and only for good. It is my hope that the reader will let the power of Spinjitzu unlock the true potential within them and become one of Ninjago's great champions.
This stunning guidebook is filled with never-before seen illustrations. It's an informative and funny look at life as a ninja, as told by the one and only Master Wu.[2]

- The USA version uses the original cover.

If it falls into the wrong hands, the knowledge contained within could put all of time and space in danger.)”

Continuity[]
- A family tree of Lloyd's family with a silhouetted image of a woman next to the image of the First Spinjitzu Master is shown in this book. The image is silhouetted because Wu does not actually know if he and Garmadon have a mother or not.[8]
- It makes an appearance in Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu as Wu's diary.
- According to the book, all new martial arts in Ninjago can be traced back to Spinjitzu.
- Forbidden Spinjitzu is mentioned for the first time.
- There are red Ninjargon letters on almost every page that spell out the message, "I will return in time help me remember Spinjitzu."
- According to the book, the Ancient Library of Domu is in the Holy City of Domu, and Wu and Garmadon traveled there in their younger years.
- According to Tommy Kalmar in Episode 43 of TTV's NinjagoCast, Spinjitzu Brothers books take place during a particular part of this book.
- The books Wu has on his reading list are:
- Mastering Your Bamboo Staff: Attacks and Defense
- Spinjitzu Tornado Techniques
- Tasty Tea Recipes: An Ancient Handbook
- Guide to the Serpentine Tribes
- Mustache Maintenance for Beginners
- The Art of the Silent Fist
- Legends of the Temple of Fortitude
- Lloyd on the cover of the book is in his Spinjitzu Masters gi, although this suit was released in 2018, not 2017.
- The book contains information on Skybound despite being written by Wu, who did not remember the events of the season after they were undone. According to Tommy Andreasen, it's possible Jay and Nya told Wu about the events.[9]
- This book uses an image of Jay in pajamas that is extremely similar to the image of Kai in pajamas from Card 54 - Panic Stations.
Errors[]
- Shade is not included in the list of Elemental Masters.
- Dareth is missing in the picture of Ninja Replacements.
- When speaking of his future vision of the Ninja vehicles, Wu refers to the Boulder Blaster, Jay Walker One, and Desert Lightning by their set names despite these vehicles having different names in the TV series.
