Plot[]
Zane looks at a picture of P.I.X.A.L.
Zane was studying the portal gate and thinking about using a higher frequency to activate a response corridor. He looked at a picture of P.I.X.A.L. and thought it was unlikely the portal gate could be activated that way. Suddenly, Mr. Frohicky appeared and accidentally bumped into Zane while carrying a bucket of ice. Zane catches him and apologized for not hearing him arrive. Mr. Frohicky explained that he had been trying to be quiet, but his clumsiness caused the ice block to fall down the stairs. Zane revealed he had been talking to the picture of P.I.X.A.L. Mr. Frohicky questioned about the picture talking back, hoping that it didn't. Zane clarified it didn't, but talking to the picture helped him solve problems. Mr. Frohicky offered the extra ice, thinking Zane needed it to replenish his powers. Zane clarified he could create ice as needed. Mr. Frohicky left, embarrassed.
Nya and Sora explore the tunnel
Meanwhile, Nya, Sora, and Riyu were making their way through an underground tunnel in search of the yellow Dragon Core. Nya brought a sack of gemstones called Seeker Stones from the Cloud Kingdom, which she can use to find the Dragon Core once they reach the burial vault. Sora is pessimistic, citing her recent string of bad luck, but Nya encourages her to never lose hope. However, their progress is interrupted when Nya steps on a tile and they fall into a pit of acid. Using her water powers, Nya saves herself, Sora, and Riyu. Sora expressed her previous prediction of the acid. Nya corrected her, stating that she had predicted that the Seeker Stones would fall into acid. She then emphasized that the ninja never give up or lose hope. Sora admitted that it was difficult to remain hopeful when so many things went wrong. Nya responded by saying that without hope, it was hard for anything to go right. Sora asked if it was a saying from Wu, but Nya clarified that it was her own saying, although Wu often taught lessons that were not solely about fighting. They then notice the way to the burial vault.
The Seeker Stones activate
Mr. Frohicky is scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush. He scolds himself for trying to give ice to Zane and worries that he will be fired if he doesn't do his job well. Meanwhile, Zane suggests trying to activate a gate using a polarity field when he notices Mr. Frohicky. He questions why he is using such a small brush, as it will take him at least 61,000 hours to finish. Mr. Frohicky realizes his mistake and decides to finish the job by using a mopping machine from Kreel. Nya, Sora, and Riyu step into the burial vault, marveling at its impressive design. Sora comments on the skill of the tomb's interior designer, to which Nya attributes the djinns' showmanship. Sora, curious about the djinns, learns that they were powerful beings from Djinjago who possessed wish magic. However, Djinjago was destroyed long ago, along with its inhabitants. They reach the altar, where Nya explains that placing the Seeker Stones in the correct order will reveal their desired location. As they experiment with different combinations, they succeed in activating the stones, causing a mysterious eye to appear as a small shockwave occurs. Feeling responsible, Sora believed her bad luck was to blame for their lack of progress. Nya reassured her, insisting that she was not cursed, but rather she had possibly misused the stones. Realizing they needed to explore alternative methods, they decided to leave the tomb, unaware of the emblems on their hands.
The Howlers emerge
In the dragon stables, Zane carries a broom adorned with a picture of P.I.X.A.L.. He ponders the appearance of the portal gates after the Merge, both at their location and at the Monastery of Imperium. Zane also mentions Nya's discovery of another portal gate in the Cloud Kingdom archives. As Zane left the dragon stables, he was met with the sight of Mr. Frohicky screaming and holding onto the mop machine in the relaxation room. After using his ice powers to stop the machine, Zane is approached by Mr. Frohicky, who is impressed by his abilities. However, the excitement is short-lived as Mr. Frohicky suddenly feels ill and rushes out of the room to vomit in the hallway. Despite this, he still expresses interest in using the mop machine. Nya, Sora, and Riyu reunite with dragon Sora and Jiro. Dragon Sora detects something's wrong as Nya and Sora notice the glowing mark on their hand. Suddenly, two Howlers emerge from the burial vault and attack them. Meanwhile, Mr. Frohicky diligently arranges the scrolls in the Monastery's library, remaining hopeful that Zane will be impressed by his organizational skills. Spotting Zane's arrival, Mr. Frohicky eagerly points out his work, explaining that he has alphabetically sorted the scrolls by author to rectify their previous disorder. However, Zane reveals that the tradition dictates the scrolls should be ordered chronologically. Mr. Frohicky's spirits plummet as he slides down the ladder, feeling dejected by his mistake.
The Last Djinn
Meanwhile, at the burial vault, the Howlers continue their attack. Nya quickly devises a plan, urging Sora to split up and face the Howlers individually. Nya uses her Elemental Powers, while Sora fought a Howler in close combat, but her efforts were thwarted when one of the Howlers seized her and hurled her onto Nya. Dragon Sora used her fiery abilities to shield and carry Sora and Riyu while Jiro carried Nya. Together, the two dragons soar through the sky, transporting them to a cave. Confused about their whereabouts, Sora questioned their location. Inside, they encountered a djinn named Arrakore, who emerged from behind a boulder. He questioned their presence and warned them of his powerful magic. However, his intimidating demeanor was interrupted when he accidentally bumped his head. Dragon Sora caught Arrakore's attention. He recognized her as Zanth and is playfully licked by her. Sora is surprised by the dragon's name, given that she was told it's Sora and Arrakore finds this lack of knowledge rude. He noticed Riyu and couldn't help but comment on the special energy that he possessed. Arrakore reassures Nya that he's indeed real, urging her to stop staring. Nya expressed her belief that Djinjago had been destroyed. Arrakore confirmed her assumption, explaining how he managed to survive and his time in the Pinnacle of Crystals.
The emblems glow once more
Zanth warns Arrakore about the Howlers. Arrakore questions the validity of the warning, filled with disbelief and frustration. Sora inquires further, curious about Arrakore's reaction. Arrakore notices the marks on Nya and Sora's hands and realizes they attempted to use the Seeker Stones without proper guidance. Nya admits to the possibility. Sora explains that the stones didn't work, but Arrakore reveals they did work by cursing them. Arrakore explains that the Howlers are a curse of misusing djinn items and can only be defeated with wish magic. Sora acknowledges Arrakore's specialty in wish magic. However, Arrakore reveals his wish magic is gone without Djinjago. Nya points out Arrakore's earlier threat to use magic, to which Arrakore admits it was a bluff as he is now powerless. Nya reassures the group that they are far away from the Howlers now, but Arrakore warns them that they will encounter the Howlers again due to the curse. Arrakore explains that the Howlers relentlessly hunt down those who have been cursed, draining their energy and the energy of all living things around them. Arrakore concludes by stating that even Riyu is not exempt from the curse, and their presence has now cursed him as well. Sora expresses her frustration, reminding Nya that she had warned them about being a black cloud.
Arrakore's powers
As the marks glowed once again, Sora became concerned about the implications. Nya examined the centerpiece of the Seeker Stones and discovered an eye on it. Curious, Sora questioned Arrakore about the meaning of the eye. Arrakore revealed that it indicated that they had been found by the Howlers, prompting him to hide behind a boulder. Determined to stop the Howlers, Nya, Sora, and the dragons prepared for battle. Sora questions Arrakore's lack of involvement, but he discouraged their efforts, suggesting that quitting would be easier. Despite the challenges, Sora refused to give up, noting that the ninja never quit. She noticed a Howler approaching Riyu. Sora intervened but was thrown into a couch. Nya acknowledged the Howlers' unstoppable nature, and Sora commented on her disappointment in Arrakore's refusal to help. Reflecting on her own words, Sora wondered if she sounded as negative as Arrakore. Nya chooses not to comment. Zanth urged Arrakore to take action, but Arrakore felt powerless. Nya responds by telling him that no one is ever truly powerless. Arrakore soon noticed the grain of sand around his necklace growing, confusing. Sora explained that hope was the reason behind the phenomenon. She compared hope to a wish, stating that if they persevered, things would work out. Their hope to defeat the Howlers was to revitalize Djinjago. Initially skeptical, Arrakore witnessed the sand growing even larger and realized that hope was what he needed most. Sora asked for his assistance, and Arrakore revealed that his magic can only work through wishes. Nya and Sora made two wishes for Arrakore to help them defeat the Howlers, and his powers were unleashed. With the Howlers dispelled, Arrakore passed out.
The completed puzzle
Mr. Frohicky prepared to leave from the Monastery. Zane, surprised, questions his decision. Mr. Frohicky admits his lack of confidence in his abilities, fearing the judgment of the ninja. Zane uses a technical example to illustrate the importance of allowing oneself time to adjust and learn, but Mr. Frohicky confesses his lack of understanding of the phrase. Zane reassures him, emphasizing that everyone goes through a learning curve and that Mr. Frohicky has the potential to be an excellent Assistant Monastery Keeper. Mr. Frohicky, relieved, questions whether he will be the worst in history, to which Zane playfully responds that technically he already is since he's the first one, but that he is still worthy of being part of the team. Nya and Sora take the opportunity to redecorate the sanctum while Arrakore sleeps. As he wakes up, Arrakore questions if they were victorious, recalling the memory of their triumph. Nya assures him that they indeed won, all thanks to him. Arrakore expresses his gratitude, mentioning that he hasn't been able to use wish magic for a long time and how this victory made him feel like a true djinn once again. He notices the growth of his necklace, now the size of a small rock, and contemplates the possibility of resurrecting his homeland with enough wish magic. Feeling indebted to the ninja, Arrakore offers his assistance in helping them find the yellow Dragon Core as he completes his unfinished puzzle.

- Arrakore's puzzle of the puppy with a stick of dynamite is the same as Killow's painting in "Questing for Quests."
- The topic of the destruction of Djinjago was brought up, being revealed that only a grain of sand is what remained after the realm’s destruction. It was also revealed that the powers possessed by the djinn are intricately connected to Djinjago itself, meaning that the djinns' magic rely heavily on the existence and stability of Djinjago, and vice versa.
- In the concluding moments of the episode, Nya and Sora mentioned that the restoration of Djinjago is contingent upon the potency of wish magic, as it shares an intrinsic connection with the realm. Doc Wyatt was asked if this also applies to the inhabitants, to which he replied that while Arrakore has the ability to bring back the djinns and Djinjagan Dragons, but he couldn't confirm if it would actually happen.[4]
- Zane talks to P.I.X.A.L.'s picture in order to help him solve the problem of the broken portal gate. Zane interacting with a photograph as if it were the real person it pictures is similar to how P.I.X.A.L. hugged a photograph of her and Zane while he was missing in the Never Realm.[5]
Errors[]
- In the scene when Arrakore was confused about his necklace growing, Sora can be seen with her headphones outside her hood.
