The Lost Tomb![1] is the 21st issue of Ninjago: Legacy Magazine. It includes 112221 Lloyd vs. Cobra Mechanic.
The Lost Tomb![]
Within the Forest of Tranquility, the Snake warriors are clearing their way through the forest as they search for their lost tomb, seeking to raise an army. In order to stop them, the Ninja mount a surprise attack. In spite of their efforts at stealth however, the Ninja find themselves stumbling into the enemy's camp and are quickly surrounded.
As one of the Cobra Mechanics orders their brethren to eliminate the Ninja, the Mechanic calls a halt after seeing Lloyd's powers, stating that they recognize the Green Ninja. Although Lloyd remarks that they should be familiar with each other, having fought before, the Mechanic clarifies that they knew Lloyd since he was a child, specifically the child who had released the Serpentine all those years ago. The Mechanic remarks that they remembered Lloyd making a fool out of himself when he tried to lead the Hypnobrai and the Fangpyre in the past, and they have a hard time seeing Lloyd now serving as the leader of the Ninja. In response, Lloyd tells the Mechanic that he has since matured and is older and wiser now, though the Mechanic retorts that if Lloyd was as wise as he claimed, would he have fallen right into the Mechanic's trap? At that moment, one of the Snake Warriors' vehicles tears through the tree line, flattening several as it drives towards the Ninja, leaving Lloyd stunned.
As the tree-cutter gains ground, the Ninja are forced to leap across tree branches as they attempt to evade the deadly vehicle. Unfortunately, the tree-cutter is simply too fast, cutting down trees in its path faster than the Ninja could leap. Hanging onto the downed tree trunks for dear life, the tree-cutter drives the felled trees, and the Ninja, into a nearby river. After resurfacing, the Ninja lay low as they survey their enemies, watching as the Snake Warriors drive off in search for them. With their surroundings clear, Zane notes that they must regain an advantage against their enemies as all turn to Lloyd for a plan. Unfortunately, the words of the Cobra Mechanic had greatly wounded Lloyd who reflected on his past mistakes in unleashing the Serpentine and trusting Pythor most of all as he admits the Mechanic was right; he is just a foolish kid. The rest of the Ninja however encourage their green leader by reminding him that everyone makes mistakes and that the past does not define who he is today. With his courage restored, Lloyd begins to develop a plan of counter attack.
While the Snake Warriors continue to search for the Ninja, Lloyd emerges from the tree line and asks, "Looking for me?" As the snakes pursue the green ninja, they remain unaware that now it was their turn to be led into a trap! Leading the group of Snake Warriors deeper into the forest, Lloyd leaps aboard the tree-cutter to confront the Cobra Mechanic while the other four Ninja dispatch the rest of the squadron. Angered by the defeat of his forces, the Cobra Mechanic declares that Lloyd will pay for this! In response, Lloyd snarks, "Take this, its free!" as he blasts the Mechanic with a bolt of Energy, easily defeating the Mechanic and destroying his pack. With the platoon defeated, the Ninja take control over the tree-cutter as they make their way back to the excavation site where the Snake Warriors are coming dangerously close to unsealing the tomb. Fortunately however, with the powerful vehicle on their side, the remaining warriors are forced to flee in terror, abandoning their excavation efforts. With their foes defeated, the Ninja prepare to clean up the site and rebury the tomb, though Zane estimates it will take them about 322 hours to do so. 323 hours later, the Ninja are able to clean up the battle site and rebury the tomb, departing on Destiny's Bounty as Cole wishes they would never have to do such work like this again.

Trivia[]
- The English version of this issue was never released for unknown reasons.
- The French version of the comic roughly translates to, "The Lost Tomb of the Serpents," whereas the German issue is merely titled, "The Lost Tomb."
- It is unknown when exactly does the comic take place, but there are some reasons why it can be put between Seabound and Crystalized:
- The sets in which the Snake warriors are present as villainous faction came out between these two seasons
- Nya is not present in the ninja team in the comic
- Lloyd's arc about him questioning his role as a leader is similar to his arc in Tentacles Below! and Separate Ways.
- If being more specific about between which comics does the story take place, it's possible that it's happening between Great Droids Think Alike and Bad Water!, as the first one is directly tied to Seabound and the second one is directly tied to Crystalized.
- It is also possible that the comic takes place between seasons 11 and 12 because of the version of Destiny's Bounty the ninja use or after season 15 because the ninja are wearing their Dojo suits.
