The Pit is a sinkhole in the Kingdom of Shintaro's palace that leads all the way to Rock-Bottom. Previously, it was used by Vangelis to banish people from Shintaro or to travel to the dungeons.

History

Dungeon Party! (flashback)

After Vangelis decided to keep the Skull of Hazza D'ur so he could use its powers for his own purposes, the Lowly told the King that the skull had to be destroyed, knowing what it was capable of. Knowing that something like this would happen, Vangelis opened the Pit and banished the Lowly to Rock-Bottom.

The Skull Sorcerer

Discovering why Vangelis' reason for becoming the Skull Sorcerer, Cole, Wu, and Vania tried to stop him. But after they failed to get the Skull of Hazza D'ur, Vangelis opened the Pit and banished Cole and Wu to Rock-Bottom. Vania then grabbed a pair of Shintaro wings and jumped into the Pit to rescue the two.

Grief-Bringer

Learning that the ninja were planning on having the Munce and Geckles make amends, Vangelis and Hazza D'ur used the Pit to travel to the Dungeons of Shintaro, so they could resurrect Grief-Bringer.
