Trivia[]

Continuity[]

  • As of this episode, Jay has once again injured his leg. This is the fifth time a Ninja has injured their leg, the first was Lloyd twice in "Return of the Overlord" and "The Sword Shatters", then Jay in "Spy for a Spy" and then Wyldfyre in "Shattered Dreams".
    • As was the case the first time with Jay and both times with Lloyd, Jay once again received the injury on his right leg.
    • Also the way Jay reacts to his injured leg and screaming in pain is exactly the same reaction he had the first time in "Spy for a Spy".
  • This episode marks the first time Kai and P.I.X.A.L. have seen Jay and vice versa since the Merge and the first time in an episode since "Roots".
  • This episode also marks the first time Jay has been at the Monastery since the Merge and the first time in an episode since "Roots".
  • This episode also marks the first time all 6 original ninja and P.I.X.A.L have been in the Monastery together since the Merge and the first time in an episode since "Roots".
  • This episode marks the first time Jay has fought alongside his former teammates since the Merge and first time in an episode since "Roots".
  • Though technically as souls, this marks the first appearance of full-blooded Oni since "Endings" and their first appearance in wildbrain animation.
  • Lloyd's soul being green is not only meant to show he is the Green Ninja but may be seen as a possible callback to Garmadon's final words to Lloyd before he died in "Curseworld, Part II" being "It was never the color of the gi that made you who you are, it was the color of your heart".
  • When Arin thinks about his friends, there is a quick shot of child Frak in the Crossroad's junkyard, which Arin never experienced as Frak moved away before the Merge. However, the scene is just a figment of Arin's imagination.
  • When Jay removes his disguise his hair is shorter.
  • When Thunderfang absorbes Lloyd's soul, his altered Green Ninja theme from "The Spider's Design" is played.

Errors[]

  • Towards the end of the episode when the Ninja and Jay make it back to the Monastery and Cole sees him, near the fountain in the middle of the courtyard is a second Cole in a T-pose.
