Rumble Keepers | Thunder Keepers |
The Thunder Keepers are members of the Keepers.
History[]
Jungle Life[]
Shortly after Wu defeated the Stone Guardians, the Thunder and Rumble Keepers ambush Misako's expedition group by shooting them with tranquilizer darts and capturing them.
The Ritual[]
The Keepers were bringing the captured ninja to Chief Mammatus. However, a Rumble Keeper proposed a ritual challenge to PoulErik, so the Rumble Keepers could engage in a series of tests against the ninja to earn a promotion to Thunder Keepers. By harnessing the power of Storm during the boat race and subduing the Stone Guardians in the combat arena, the Rumble Keepers successfully prove their mettle and were rewarded with the title of Thunder Keepers.

Character Encyclopedia New Edition[]
Behind this fearsome mask is an equally forbidding islander! He isn't in a bad mood though-he just takes his job seriously. Using ancient chants and rituals, the Thunder Keepers call out to the storms that surround the island and asks them to never stop scaring off unwanted visitors!
Island Attack![]
Singing, dancing and painting creepy masks - that's all these guys do! They do this because they believe it will create violent storms that keep the island hidden it appears they didn't sing loudly enough...

Trivia[]
- They are the only Keepers not to appear in the show.
- Ironically, they are the most common Keeper minifigure in the sets.
- Their masks are inspired by the Island Warrior's mask from LEGO Minifigures, but the Thunder Keepers' masks are attached to the head, unlike the previous mask, which is between the head and the body and its wearer also has hair. The Thunder Keepers' masks also lack eye cutouts.
- This is pointed out in a Thunder Keeper's description in Hunted!, which states that "masks restrict visibility - good for the ninja, not for the mask wearers!"
- According to Keeper tradition, the Rumble Keepers can participate in a ritual challenge and become Thunder Keepers if they prove themselves worthy in the challenge.[1]
