Plot[]
During the Merge, the Ninja and Master Wu fly through the storm on the Destiny's Bounty. Wu says it is coming too soon and tells Nya only unity could save them. In the present day, Nya knocks on the door of the Wolf Clan's quarters and Cinder opens the door. He informs Ras of the Ninja's arrival and the team tell him they are here for Jay. Ras claims to have done nothing to Jay and had simply helped him when no one else did. He says he had sent Jay away and if they valued their friend, they would go after him. Nya wants to go after Jay and save him but the ninja remind her that the Tournament of the Sources is a threat to the Merged Realms. Nya believes that without Jay, the team is not united like Wu said it should be. Lloyd promises they will find Jay after the tournament. As they walk back to their quarters, Arin tells Sora that Jay said he worked in The Administration, making Sora realize Jay is Agent Walker. Arin doubts Lloyd will follow through on his promise of finding his parents and Jay.
The next day, Nya trains in the Games Plaza. Lloyd and Zane watch her from afar. Nya breaks a piece of wood and it flies through the air. Lloyd catches it before it hits Zane and they talk about how angry she seems. She repeatedly punches the wooden pole until it breaks and falls on the ground. Back in the ninja’s quarters, Sora tries to study the competitors in the tournament but struggles to do so. Lloyd tells her to find calm but Sora expresses her frustration and panic instead. Lloyd reminds her the only goal is to prevent Ras from winning the competition. Elsewhere, in the City of Temples, Riyu continues to hear Kai and he encourages Riyu not to give up.
Later, Roby announces Sora and Kizzy as the next two competitors. Roby explains the rules of the match, saying whoever kicks the drum at the end of the obstacle course wins. Bleckt rings the bell and the game commences. Arin remarks how Sora is competing against the elemental master of balance in a game about balance. Sora used her power of technology to turn a part from the obstacle course into a staff to help her balance. Sora remembers and uses what Rontu taught her to kick the drum and win the game. Roby announces Sora the winner and uses the Elemental Cup to transfer Kizzy's power to her.
Roby announces Wyldfyre and Cinder as the next two competitors. Roby explains that whoever gets the flag and takes it out of the circle in the middle of the Plaza wins. Lloyd reminds Wyldfyre to focus on winning the game instead of getting revenge for Kai. The bell rings and the two competitors race for the flag. Wyldfyre blocks Cinder's path using her heat power. Ras rings the Gong of Shattering and Cinder puts on a Wolf Mask. Cinder uses Shatterspin to beat Wyldfyre and easily wins the game. Roby announces Cinder the winner and checks up on Wyldfyre. He transfers Wyldfyre’s power to Cinder using the Elemental Cup.
Later in the night, the group discusses the Wolf Clan's ability to use the Gong of Shattering before Cinder shows up to insult them. Wyldfyre tries to use her elemental power on Cinder and he taunts her for doing so. He shoots a blast of heat in the air to alert the Security Bots. Cinder falls to the floor and acts distressed, knowing the bots were watching him. Roby and Bleckt see Cinder on the Games Plaza's screen. Believing the Ninja had attacked Cinder, they go to check on the situation. Ras and Jordana show up to witness it. Roby reminds the Ninja that they were to be exiled from the tournament if they bullied other competitors. Bleckt orders the security bots to escort the Ninja out of the city but Zane invokes the Cavern Run. He explains what it is and how it can give the team immunity from exile. Roby convinces Bleckt to let the Ninja run the race. Everyone leaves the Ninja and they discuss their need for a vehicle. Arin mentions the city having a junkyard and Sora plans to use scraps from it to build a vehicle using her technology power. Elsewhere, Riyu hears Kai beg for his help. He believes he is hearing Kai from within the Wolf Clan’s quarters.
At the race, Sora, Cole, Nya and Lloyd show up with the Combo Vehicle. Lloyd tells Arin the race would be a good time to do some detective work. Roby explains that if the Ninja beat the Pace Dragon in the race, they will not be exiled from the tournament. He commences the race and Arin sneaks off to the Wolf Clan's quarters. He tries to break in and finds Riyu trying to do the same thing. They both get inside the quarters and Arin explains to Riyu what he is searching for. Riyu hears Kai again but Arin does not. While looking around, Arin stumbles upon a picture of Frak and his family. He realizes Sora told him the truth and questions if Frak is evil too. Riyu sniffs around and finds a stone under a pillow. Kai says it was as if Riyu was right next to him. Arin sees him talking to a stone and asks him what he is doing. Riyu hands Arin the stone and Kai tells Riyu he could only hear him. Arin remarks about the glow on the stone when Ras walks in.
Back at the race, Sora says they are far ahead of the Pace Dragon. The team enters the green zone and toxic goo burns through the vehicle. Back at the quarters, Ras tells Arin it was unwise of Lloyd to send the youngest ninja and the one without an elemental power into enemy territory. Arin retorts saying he took him out during the Ritual of the Blood Moon without an elemental power. Ras explains Sora powered the object that took him out but Arin refuses to believe so. Riyu hears Kai ask what is going on and puts the stone in his mouth. He claims that Arin needs a master who sees him more clearly and can help him unleash his potential. Arin confidently says he would never join Ras. Ras tells Arin he wants to reverse the Merge. Back at the race, Nya and Cole use their elemental powers to prevent toxic goo from touching the vehicle. The Pace Dragon overtakes them. Back at the quarters, Ras tells Arin he is surprised Arin would side with the ninja since the Merge took his parents away. Ras tells Arin the Merge was caused by Master Wu.

Trivia[]
- It is unknown why Lloyd didn't send Zane to go after Jay given Zane lost his elemental power in the last episode as Jay did.
Errors[]
- Nya mentions that in "Inside the Maze" Jay used the Gong of Shattering to shatter his goodness, which is technically incorrect as it was Ras who used the Gong of Shattering while Jay simply put on a Wolf Mask.
