- Before it was formally revealed, the cover image was of the ninja along with Garmadon and Mr. E, as the book was only set to have information from the pilot episodes until Sons of Garmadon.[1]
- This book first revealed that the Ice Emperor made the winter in the Never-Realm harsher, colder, and eternal.
- Neither the Oni nor the events of March of the Oni are mentioned or acknowledged in the book despite its covering events up to Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu.
- This book says Chopper Maroon goes by the name "the Maroon Mask," revealing he was one of the masked Sons of Garmadon members who broke into Borg Tower at the beginning of "The Mask of Deception."
- The version of Teen Wu included with this book did not appear in Hunted, but his design is similar to the de-aging Wu, who appeared in the later-released "Golden Hour."
