Warby is the muscle of the Children of the Wolf. He joins Garmadon as a student along with his friends to fight against the Lycan King.
History[]
The Wyldness[]
Warby, along with Balun, Iriel and Zuri, looked at the bones of an animal and showed immense displeasure that they had to eat mushroom and bone stew. Asa eventually found Warby, along with the other children, and they all watched him perform a series of actions that explained what happened to his hair. After learning of this, Warby wanted revenge on Garmadon for messing with his brother.
The children stood outside the Shadow Dojo and questioned how its doors opened. Then, they saw Garmadon fly through the walls of the dojo. Thinking he had rung the gong and knowing the Lycan King would have heard it, they tried to find Garmadon. They later found him lying on the ground, unconscious. Warby tried to wake Garmadon up by slapping him multiple times, to no avail. Just then, the Lycan King stared down at the children.
The Lycan King[]
Warby jumped on Asa to protect the latter from the Lycan King's attack, pushing them both away from it. Warby, along with the other children, tried to run away from the Lycan King. Warby asked Balun why the latter was carrying Garmadon and he replied saying they needed to ask Mama Mawa how Garmadon opened the Shadow Dojo. Warby doubted it would be helpful. Warby and Asa taunted the Lycan King after Iriel noticed the Lycan Kings's inability to get through the gorge. At this, the Lycan King struck the gorge, causing it to crumble.
The children and Garmadon later emerged from the rubble caused by the attack and realized they were trapped. Warby blamed Garmadon for their situation and he watched as Garmadon throw the mallet to no avail. When the Lycan King got ready to howl, Warby yelled at Garmadon to get them out of there and the latter agreed. Warby stood in confusion and awe when Garmadon managed to perform Shatterspin. Warby tried to explain what happened to Garmadon when the Lycan King howled. The children and Garmadon dodged the attack. Iriel noticed a deer got turned to stone and Warby added that they could have eaten it. They all got on the children's boat and sailed away. Garmadon asked the children what the Lycan King was and who they were. Warby, along with Balun and Iriel, introduced themselves.
When they arrived at Mama Mawa's house, Warby helped Asa off the boat while Garmadon and Zuri talked to Mama Mawa. They all went inside her house to discuss further. Inside, Warby and the other children drunk soup while Mama Mawa and Garmadon talked. Warby listened as Mama Mawa explained how the Forbidden Five used to rule the Wyldness and lead the Wolf Clan. He also sat as Mama Mawa told Lord Argus's story.
After she told the story, Mama Mawa said that the five children, one of whom was Warby, were the last children of the wolf. She explained that only the children could defeat the Lycan King, but they needed to learn the ways of their ancestors. Mama Mawa told Garmadon he would be their teacher.
Masters and Students[]
After hearing Zuri and Garmadon engaging in a heated argument, Warby and the rest of the Children of the Wolf rushed over to their friend's aid. Confronting Garmadon, Warby sternly ordered him to let the girl go and added that they haven't forgotten how their new master had ruined Asa's hair. He would then watch as Garmadon angrily stormed off.
Later that night, Warby and the others sang and danced around a campfire, with Warby briefly admiring the haircut Garmadon gave to Asa, beaming with pride. The next morning, Warby expressed his eagerness to begin training in the art of Shatterspin, though such eagerness was almost immediately dashed during the first exercise which took on the form of carrying a heavy bucket of water in each hand with outstretched arms. As he sweated profusely during the trial, Warby asked his master as to why Asa got to nap while he and the others had to endure the test. In response, Garmadon answered that Asa was too young to begin serious training and for now, he would learn best by watching the others practice. After Iriel dropped her buckets, Warby and the others were punished and ordered to perform one thousand push-ups.
For their second test, the Children of the Wolf were instructed by Garmadon that explosive speed was essential towards unlocking Shatterspin. To Garmadon's irritation, Warby and the others were more interested in the bird that Asa was roasting than Garmadon's teachings. Nevertheless, Master Garmadon saw a potential teaching moment and informed the Children that whoever could race to the top of a nearby mountain and return first with the flag he had planted before Asa finished cooking would get to enjoy the bird. Before Garmadon could even finish his sentence however, Warby and the others were already dashing off towards the mountain. Motivated by his desire to taste meat for the first time in ages, Warby ran on ahead of the others and snatched the flag. However, he tripped on the way down and tumbled into the others, knocking all four children down the mountain until they finally came to a rest by Garmadon's feet. To add further insult to injury, Warby's efforts were in vain for his fall had greatly slowed his descent, and instead of being rewarded, he and the others were punished with another one thousand push-ups.
Eventually, Garmadon deemed the Children of the Wolf to have made 'acceptable' progress with their training - enough for them to be taught the first basic attack of Shatterspin. After demonstrating it to them, Garmadon instructed each child, one after another, to repeat his actions. When it was Warby's turn, he boasted that the others would be impressed by his ability, but instead lost control over his punch and wound up hitting himself in the face. Fortunately, Zuri was able to successfully perform a Shatterspin strike, impressing Warby enough to ask her to show him how it was done. As all celebrated this early success later that night, Warby was the first to note that Iriel had failed to address Garmadon by his title of "lord," pointing this out to the other children who then playfully taunted her over her mistake.
Destinies[]
For their final test, the Children of the Wolf were tasked to stalk Garmadon through a swamp and to retrieve the cloth he had tied onto the Mallet of Shattering. As Garmadon waded through the waters, Warby watched from his hiding place within the surrounding thicket and lunged at his master once the former neared. Unfortunately, Garmadon easily evaded Warby's attack, remarking that he could smell the boy from a mile away. Iriel then revealed herself and fought alongside Warby in an effort to snatch the scarf, but still to no avail. At the very least, Garmadon smirked and complimented them on their progressing fighting capabilities, noting how they were using the terrain to their advantage.
Once all four children revealed themselves, Zuri ordered them to pull off Plan B; the four then each shattered a nearby tree, snapping their trunks to fall inwards onto Garmadon! While he was distracted with knocking back the falling tree trunks, Warby and the others simultaneously lunged at their master, though he was able to knock them all back with the Mallet of Shattering. Fortunately, Iriel managed to take the scarf from the mallet's handle in the chaos, prompting Garmadon to concede their victory. Upon hearing this affirmation from their master, Warby and the others lifted Iriel into the air in victory, and afterwards he pounded his fist into his hand as he declared that they were now coming for the Lycan King.
As the sun disappeared across the horizon, Warby, Iriel, and Balun prepared the boat that they would be using to search for their enemy. As they worked, the children discussed the future that awaited them once the Lycan King was defeated. For his part, Warby hoped that there would be a lot of meat to eat in the future and expressed annoyance when Balun cautioned them that he felt a strange presence pulling their strings. Warby and Iriel then briefly made fun of Garmadon but quickly stopped when their master returned and overheard Balun's attempts at imitating him. At that moment, an exhausted Buck Buck emerged from the forest and collapsed before the group. In panic, Warby called out for someone to bring some water for Mama Mawa's chicken as he, Zuri, and Iriel immediately tended to the bird, holding back tears as he looked upon Buck Buck's exhausted face.
Homecoming[]
Journeying to the flooded and ruined city of Lupindor in search of Asa, Warby angrily remarked, while pounding his fist, that the Lycan King better not have harmed Asa, otherwise he was going to be punched in the nose. After finally arriving outside of the Hall of Wolves, Garmadon ordered Warby and the others not to engage in battle with the Lycan King. As soon as he was out of earshot however, Zuri told Warby and the others to split up and take positions across various vantage points in the ruined hall just in case an opportunity to strike at the Lycan King's Runes of Binding presented itself - a plan that Warby was strongly in favor of.
When Garmadon fought against the Lycan King, Warby was ordered by Zuri to attack the Lycan King. Leaping from his vantage point, Warby shouted, "FOR THE WOLF CLAN!" and unleashed a Shatterspin attack upon the Runes of Binding in conjunction with the other Children of the Wolf. Unfortunately, the children's timing was off and they had failed to destroy the runes. At that moment, the Lycan King unleashed a petrifying howl at Asa and Mama Mawa, alarming Warby and the others who immediately sprang into action, using their bodies as shields to prevent their youngest friend from being turned to stone. As he and the others were hit by the howl, Warby shouted for Asa and Mama Mawa to get down and take cover as he and the others were turned into stone statues themselves. Fortunately however, he and all the others who had been petrified were all restored to normal after Asa sacrificed himself to destroy the Spectral Crown.
Making their way to the Shadow Dojo, Warby, his friends, and the now restored Wolf Mask Warriors, gathered inside the chamber that held the Gong of Shattering where Garmadon stood alone, embracing his master in a tight hug. Unfortunately, Warby would learn seconds later about the passing of his little brother.
Eventually, the day came to bid farewell to Garmadon. Gathering at the pool by the Stone Wolves, Garmadon expressed his pride in his students and how much he would miss the qualities that made them all unique. When he reached Warby, however, Garmadon failed to recall what Warby's greatest quality was and simply settled on saying he would miss all of Warby. Warby and the others would then say their final goodbyes to Garmadon as he dove into the pool and returned back to Ninjago.
