The Whirlwand is a wand that was formerly wielded by Egon the Extraordinary. It is made of Chronosteel and noted by Skylor to likely contain the element of Wind.
History[]
Prior to Amber Spiral[]
At one point in time, the whirlwand was constructed by a Metalonian blacksmith who was jealous of the abilities of Elemental Masters. Inspired by the properties of the mystical amber secreted by a particular tree, the blacksmith created the first Chronosteel, which he then used to forge various artifacts, including the whirlwand, and bound fractions of elemental powers into them. The blacksmith would eventually be defeated by the Sons of the First Spinjitzu Master, his soul imprisoned inside the Urn of Enmity, and sealed away inside a hidden tomb along with the artifacts he had created, including the whirlwand.
At some point after the Liberation of Ninjago, many generations later, the tomb would be accidentally uncovered by a demolitions expert after demolishing an abandoned warehouse. Curious about his discovery, the man would venture into the tomb and rediscover the whirlwand, claiming it for himself to start a new life as a magician and performer known as Egon the Extraordinary.
Amber Spiral[]
Egon performed at the Red Star Carnival, using the whirlwand to perform a variety of tricks, including the act of lifting a stack of chairs into the air. Unfortunately, Chamille used her element of form to disguise herself as the magician and accused Egon of being an imposter. Chamille's sudden appearance caused Egon to break his concentration and he was laughed off stage by the crowds.
At the day's end, when the carnival was closing for the night, Skylor and Chamille went to Egon's trailer to speak with him, but the magician, still angry about Chamille's antics earlier, used the whirlwand to hurl pieces of furniture at the two. Unfortunately for Egon, he threw all the furniture in his trailer at the two women and with nothing else to throw at them, they easily relieved him of the whirlwand. Skylor returned the wand moments later, however, after Egon explained he only wanted to scare Chamille away because as a result of her antics, he did not receive any payment for his performances for the entire day. Skylor then explained her quest to find her mother to Egon, who agreed to take the two women to the tomb where he had originally found the whirlwand in.
After Skylor defeated the spirit of the Original Master of Amber within the tomb, Egon reluctantly gave up the whirlwand to Skylor who intended to bring it, and all remaining artifacts inside the tomb, to the Borg Tower vaults for safekeeping.

Trivia[]
- The LEGO piece used for the wand's handle was originally used for the Golden Staff in the Monkie Kid sets.
- It's unknown if the wand has an actual name or not, as the name "Whirlwand" was something Egon came up with when he discovered it.
- Even though the wand is said to be made of Chronosteel, its appearance is closer to that of Blue Crystal. Both materials were found in Chen's Staff of Elements, of which Skylor notes the similarities.
