Yang Tavern[1] (also known as Yang's Tavern[2]) is a pub located in a dangerous section of Ninjago City where the low life of Ninjago gather. It is notorious for its Slither Pit fights. Mezmo serves as the announcer, and for a time after Zane's assumed death, Kai (dubbed "The Red Shogun") was the undefeated champion.
History[]
Prior to A Team Divided[]
Some time after the Serpentine began their pacifistic reforms, Mezmo went on to host Slither Pit matches in Yang's Tavern, with regular participants including Serpentine such as Zoltar, Skulkin like Nuckal, and regular humans, such as Big Dan.
A Team Divided[]
After Kai unintentionally burned Big Dan's hair off and ruined his son's birthday party, he was challenged to a Slither Pit battle at midnight. The Master of Fire defeated him with ease, before facing off against Zoltar and earning the title of "The Red Shogun."
The Invitation[]
As the Red Shogun, Kai made it to the Slither Pit finals where he faced off against Kruncha, whom he defeated with ease. While having a drink at the bar, he was confronted by Lloyd, who asked him to meet at Chen's Noodle House.
After The Invitation[]
After his defeat by Kai, Kruncha bribed his opponents to lose so he could keep his high winning score. However, he became overconfident and refused to pay his opponents, who notified the Ninjago Police as a result.[3]
Misfortune Rising[]
While evading the police, the ninja took refuge at Yang's Tavern in disguise. Discussing the threat of Nadakhan, they promptly witnessed from the television the Sky Pirates attacking New Ninjago City aboard the Misfortune's Keep. Setting their priorities straight, the ninja decided to go into the open to protect the citizens.

At some point, Chamille set up her hideout in the basement of Yang Tavern, using it to store various stolen goods and artifacts.
After the Liberation of Ninjago, Skylor visited Chamille's hideout to request the latter's assistance in uncovering the truth behind a series of recurring dreams that the former had been experiencing. Chamille then used the computer in her hideout to quickly locate the village from Skylor's dreams: a small village near Haunted Hill that allegedly was home to the best potstickers in Ninjago.
