Not to be confused with Zuri.
“My kind are extremely shy. But because of our appearance, there are those who think false assumptions and spread rumors about us. Devonians are renowned for our kindness, actually.”
— Zur to Wyldfyre, "The Final Game"

Zur is a Devonian, the Elemental Master of Reflex and a competitor of the Tournament of the Sources, alongside the other Elemental Masters of his generation.

History[]

At some point in time, Zur became the Elemental Master of Reflex.

They Gather for the Feast[]

Zur participated in the welcoming feast for the Elemental Masters who were set to compete in the Tournament of the Sources, where he grabbed a pie before Lloyd had the chance to do so. Lloyd attempted to strike up a conversation with Zur, voicing his curiosity about never having encountered a Devonian, but Zur rudely ignored him. Just as Zur was about to savor his pie and Roby was about to deliver his speech, Zeatrix interrupted the proceedings, accusing Bleckt of sidelining her and boldly claiming that she could defeat every Elemental Master in the tournament, a claim that Zur was one of the few to challenge.

Later, Zur was attacked in his quarters, but managed to take out the bot responsible, subsequently tossing it atop the defeated bots that Lloyd and Ras had taken down. Upon rejoining the group, Zur learned that the bot which had attempted to assassinate the ninja was equipped with a Gilba Thorn, a rare item that could only originate from the Mother Garden. With Zant-Tanz being the leader of the Mother Garden, everyone, excluding the ninja, quickly concluded that he must have orchestrated the attack, leading them, along with Zur, to call for Zant-Tanz's banishment from the city.

Inside the Maze[]

Zur faces off against Zane in a traditional fighting match. After having his foot frozen to the ground, the ice holding him down melted, eventually giving him the opportunity to use his Reflex element to knock Zane out of the fighting boundaries.

The Sword Shatters[]

Zur faced off against Frak and was at an advantage, but with Cole's advice and encouragement, Frak managed to win by knocking Zur into the stands.

The Final Game[]

Zur spotted Wyldfyre trying to read a ledger she discreetly swiped from Bleckt before he explained the writing was in his kind's language. He told her that Devonians are largely misunderstood, and that they're actually renowned for their kindness. He helped her translate the ledger and they discovered what Bleckt is up to.

Later, he joined Wyldfyre in objecting to Nokt's declaration as the winner of the Tournament of Sources. When Nokt gained all Elemental Powers, Zur tried to help defeat Nokt but was blasted by Nokt's Shockwave.

Elements of Betrayal[]

During the assault by the corrupted Wolf Clan, Zur joined forces with the other Elemental Masters and Security Bots to combat Cinder and the Wolf Mask Warriors, despite their loss of powers. Once Zur and the other Elemental Masters regained their abilities, they gained the advantage needed to overcome the Wolf Clan.

Other appearances[]

United We Fall[]

In her analysis of potential opponents during the Tournament of the Sources, Sora attempted to deduce Zur's Elemental Powers. However, due to the multitude of Elemental Masters, Sora mistakenly concluded that Zur's Elemental Power was merely to appear intimidating.

The Sword Shatters[]

Zur was among Arin's list of suspects due to hearing rumors of Devonians eating Dragon Horns to become more powerful.

Clues and Suspects[]

Arin indirectly referred to Zur when he suggested that Roby might be the one who dispatched the attacker bots.

Abilities[]

  • Reflex: As an Elemental Master of Reflex, Zur can move super fast, similar to Griffin Turner.
  • Elemental Powers (briefly): With enough skill, Zur was able to use the Elemental Powers he won during the Tournament of the Sources, like Ice, which he used to create an ice wall.
  • Combat: Thanks to his Reflex power, Zur is a formidable combatant. He manage to defeat Zane (although their match was rigged) and fight off Wolf warriors.
